About Us

The death care profession is distinct from any other line of work. For the MacKinnon family, funeral service has never been viewed as a typical business—it is a responsibility rooted in service, guidance, and care for others during life’s most difficult moments. Supporting families through the funeral process is a commitment that extends far beyond regular business hours. Our funeral homes operate around the clock, every day of the year, because being present for our community is essential to who we are.

Our involvement goes well beyond our facilities. We actively support and participate in the communities we serve by hosting Cell Phones for Soldiers, serving as Old Glory Collection Centers where worn flags are respectfully retired, teaching religious education, sponsoring youth athletic teams, and supporting numerous local charitable organizations throughout Hanson, Brockton, Whitman, Pembroke, Easton, East Bridgewater, and the greater South Shore area.

At MacKinnon Funeral Homes, caring for families is at the center of everything we do. We are dedicated to creating meaningful, lasting tributes that honor each life with dignity and respect. Families also receive an online memorial to share memories and stay connected with loved ones near and far. While honoring those who have died is our foremost focus, we are equally committed to supporting families as they navigate a challenging time.

We are also proud to be a firefighter family and maintain active membership in several firefighter organizations, reflecting our longstanding connection to public service and community support.
