Your dad was one of the best. His laughter, stories, and enormous heart will surely live on. How I loved to listen to our dads talk, and boy could they talk for hours. I will miss him very much; he was such a warm and loving uncle. I send all of you love and hugs at such a difficult time. The 4 of them are now dancing in heaven. Much love , Jacquie

Although meeting Swany later in his life, I always came away from our Christmas Day conversations with a genuine admiration for a gentleman who had experienced much in his life and, if one were to listen, could only leave a lasting impression that this was one very special yet humble man. It was with considerable sadness that I learned of his passing. Rest in Peace, Swanee. Bob and Lorraine Lamb

What a beautiful tribute! You really captured who he was: his love of family; his never-ending gestures of generosity and his conspicuous curiosity about life. I so looked forward to family gatherings as I hoped I would be able to carve out some time to talk to your dad. Our conversation usually began with politics but wiukd run the gambit from how to best fertilize a flower bed to the latest books we had both read. I feel very lucky that your dad was part of my family and look back with great warmth on all the love, laughter and adventures your parents and my parents shared together. The world has lost a very special sparkle now that's your dad's spirit has passed.
