Anne L. ((Leacock)) Butman

Anne L. Butman of Hanson, passed away on July 22, 2015 at Life Care Center of the South Shore in Scituate. She was 68 years old. She was born in Lawrence; daughter of the late John & Agnes (Barnes) Leacock. She was the wife of Peter Butman of Hanson and the mother of Laura Hottleman and her husband Jim of Braintree and Jon Butman and his wife Cara of Pembroke. She was the sister of the late June Leacock.

Anne was a graduate of Andover High School Class of 1964, University of Massachusetts Boston, and Bridgewater State College.  She was a teacher for 28 years in the Town of Hanson. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Hanson where she sang in the choir and she was a member of the singing group “The Hearts” as well. She volunteered and was a member of Seafarer’s Friend in Chelsea. She enjoyed spending her summers in Wolfboro, New Hampshire.

A memorial service will be celebrated on September 12, 2015 at 11 am in the First Congregational Church in Hanson, 639 High St., Hanson. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
