James D. Wildes Ji

James D. Wildes (Jim) of Hanson, formerly of Rockland and Dorchester passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old. He was born in Malden; son of the late Eugene & Eunice (MacDonald) Wildes. He was the loving husband of the late Alice E. (Hill) Wildes and the beloved father of Lisa A. Wildes-Nigro and her husband Joshua of Hanson and James D. Wildes Jr. and his wife Shani McNeil of Canton. He was the devoted grandfather of Kylie, Devin, and Cassandra.

Jim was a United States Marine Corp Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked as a District Manager for Kraft Food. He was a member of the Lions Club of Hanson, the Hanson Cemetery Commission, and the Hanson Auxiliary Police Force. He was involved in town politics and enjoyed working the polls during elections in Hanson. He was an avid skier. Jim loved riding his scooter around the neighborhood.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 20, from 4-8 pm in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (at Rte 58), Hanson. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 am in St. Joseph the Worker Church 1 Maquan St., Hanson. Burial will be at a later date in Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson.
