William Kressler Obituary

William A. Kressler, age 64, of Hanson, MA, passed peacefully, on February 28th, 2023, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born in Boston, he grew up in Pembroke and has lived in Hanson for the past 15 years. A career finish carpenter, his eye for detail created meticulous work. Bill loved camping, his two favorite places being Ellis Haven in Plymouth, MA and Lakeside Pines in Bridgeton, ME. He enjoyed watching Nascar, and keeping his family and friends laughing with his sarcastic wit.

By his side for 45 years, he leaves behind his loving wife, Kimberley A. (Smith) Kressler, his two children, Dawn Foley and her partner, Greg Owen of Hanson, and William A. Kressler II, and his wife, Ashley Kressler, of Kingston. He is predeceased by his parents, Theodore Kressler and Helen Corbett, and oldest brother, Paul Kressler. He is survived by his stepmother, Rose Kressler of California, as well as his siblings, Steven Kressler and his wife, Elizabeth Kressler, of Weymouth, his sisters, Joanne Smith, of Hanson, and Laurie Kressler, as well as his youngest brother, Robert Kressler and his wife Heidi Kressler, all from California. Better known as Bumpy, to his 6 grandchildren, he leaves behind Alison and Baileigh Foley, and Ryan, Emily, Sean and Reese Kressler.

No doubt, Molli, his beloved dog and best friend of 14 years, was waiting for him in Heaven.

Per his request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.

Arrangements by Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 4 W. Washington St. (Corner Rte. 58), Hanson, MA.
