Vincent, “Vinny” E. Simmonds of Hanson, MA Passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 9 2023. He joins his parents, Omar and Marguerite Simmonds, his siblings Paul, Omar T., Nancy and the top half of his thumb. He is survived by his wife, Penelope (Mullen), His sisters, Shirley Jones, Jean Delaney and Dotty Coen, His children; Alyson Neuhauser, Vincent G. Simmonds, Mary Mullarkey, Theresa Keneklis, James J. Mullarkey, Margaret Mayer, and Catherine Joyce, Sixteen Grandchildren and Seven Great-Grandchildren and more nieces, nephews and cousins than we can fit into this obituary, The staff at Shaw’s Supermarket/ Osco Drugstore and Myette’s Convenience store.

Vinny loved his family, Diet Dr. Pepper, denim shirts, fishing, camping and was loved by all. He worked as a Master welder and was a member of the boiler-makers union until retirement. He enjoyed restoring furniture and was masterful at all things wood-working which he learned from his Dad, Omar. Vinny was rightfully proud of his tomato plants, mashed potatoes and Swedish meatballs.

Vinny’s family welcomes you to join them in a celebration of life at The VFW 95 Essex St, Whitman MA on Wednesday March 15 2023 at 1:00 PM. His Family asks That letters or memories of Vinny, along with favorite photos to be brought for a scrapbook in his honor. Food will be served and dress is casual.
