Shirley May (MaDan) Bibby, 84years old, longtime resident of Brockton, MA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 13, 2021. She was the beautiful bride to the late James W Bibby Senior for 58 years. Shirley was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Stella (Kozuch) MaDan, and Emery MaDan. Loving sister to Emery (Frankie) MaDan, Marjorie Leighton, Alfred MaDan, Donald MaDan, and the late Emily Beals.
Amazing mother to Karen J Bibby of Brockton, James W. Bibby Jr. of Brockton, Michael E Bibby and his wife Donna of Bourne, Thomas E. Bibby and his wife Tammy of East Bridgewater, Kenneth W. Bibby of Brockton, Joseph W. Bibby and his wife Melissa of Hanson,and Jean L. (Bibby) Kadis and her husband Charles Of Bridgewater. The best nana of 12 grand children and 7 great grand children.
She worked at Dartmouth shoe factory where she met her husband Jim prior to working 35 years as a CNA and caregiver.
With a smile, trademark laugh and a heart overflowing with love, Shirley forged her way through life on the cornerstones of hard work, determination, and compassion. The amount of giving was immeasurable. Always kind and sassy with a care givers heart. Shirley’s passions were her children and grandchildren, family get togethers, camping, and adventures with her family. Shirley was always singing, she loved her beautiful, bright, brilliant flowers and animals and brought that same love and joy she used to build such a strong family.
Visiting hours will be in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St (Corner of Rte. 58) Hanson on Wednesday August 18th 9-11 AM Funeral Services in the Funeral Home at 11 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree.
