Richard Walker Obituary

It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of our dear brother, son, partner, friend, Richard M. Walker, who passed away December 17,2022 at the age of 67 in Madison, IN formerly of Pembroke. Predeceased by his son Michael R. Walker, and his father Earle G. Walker. Survived by his loving mother Elaine M. Walker, brother James C. Walker and his wife Donna, sisters Dianne M. Holden, Sheryl A. Correia and her husband Jake, brother in law and longtime friend Fred Means, as well as longtime, devoted companion Vicki Ashby, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was a good man, loved by all. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He cherished time spent in Indiana with Vicki, along with her son Michael, grand and great grandchildren Alex, Angel, Layla, Zoe, Alexie, and Eli and quickly earned the title and role of “Poppy.”

Rich was a licensed oil burner technician. After receiving his class 2 license he applied for a job at Schultz Doyle and Stoddard in Scituate as a home heating oil delivery driver, where he became a member of local 25 teamsters and he eventually retired from the Alliance Express. Rich loved motorcycles and enjoyed working on them. He looked forward to his trip to Arizona (especially Tombstone) with Vicki. He also loved traveling to Fort Lauderdale and St. Pete Beach with his mom and sister. The garage door in Pembroke was always open to his friends for socializing. He loved that. Rich lived life the way he wanted. We all have some great memories of time spent with him. He brought something to all of our lives and we will greatly miss him.

The family will hold a private wake at the Leighton- MacKinnon Funeral Home Hanson, Mass. 02341 Burial will be at Church Hill Cemetery Norwell, Mass. 02061
