Philip I. Winslow Sr, 81, passed away peacefully at Pat Roche Hospice House on June 19, 2023. He was surrounded by loving family and friends. He is survived by his wife, JoAnne Winslow, of Hanson, his daughter, Betty Jo (Winslow) Eosue and predeceased by his son, Philip I. Winslow, Jr.
Phil was the eldest son of Newell and Edna (Wagner) Winslow, deceased. He is survived by his siblings Judy, Donald, Paul and Karen and predeceased by Robert (Bobby) and Virginia(Ginny). He also had many cousins, nieces and nephews that adored him.
Phil was a devoted stepfather to Christina Stoltz of Middleboro, Melissa Stoltz Mains of Hanson and Danielle Stoltz Winn of Whitman. He was known as “Papa” to all his grandchildren: Nicholas, Benjamin, Samantha, Andrew, Lillian, Benjamin, Nathan, Laney, Lucas, Jade and Quinlan. He also was “Papa” to 3 great grandchildren: Laila, Blake and Jace.
He retired from LeBaron Foundry in Brockton, Ma.
He was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and family and could be counted on for his quirky sense of humor. He loved spending time in his garden, fishing at Saquish with his buddy, hanging out at 4th Cliff or being with the grandchildren. He will be loved, remembered and missed by all that knew him.
