Mary Weckbacher Obituary

On Sunday, January 29, 2023, Mary G. Weckbacher, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away after a short illness.  She was 67 years old.  Born to Elizabeth (Linehan) Weckbacher and Theodore L. Weckbacher, Sr., in the City of Boston in 1955.  Mary graduated from Silver Lake Regional High School and Cypress College and went on to have a fulfilling career in her own computer repair business.  She moved to Los Angeles as a young woman and met the love of her life Ted Mallas, they shared her love of the beach and the beauty of Southern California for some joyous years.

Mary moved to Fryeburg, Maine to spend time with her family and enjoy the beautiful White Mountains.  Mary loved boating, camping, taking cross country trips, board games, taking care of her many fur babies and cooking, which she was lovingly doing for her Mom when she passed.  She is survived by her Mother, Elizabeth Weckbacher (Linehan) of Halifax, siblings, Linda McCarthy of Halifax, Lisa & Jimmy Farley of Plymouth, Kim & Ted Weckbacher, Jr. of Kingston, Susan Riposta of Tampa and Kathleen & Den Richardson of Fryeburg.  She is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Jack Fairweather, Peter Fairweather, Lori-An & Mike Cecere, Lindsey Fairweather, Elizabeth & John Dentino, Katherine & Pete Fontaine, Victoria & Mark Davies, Mikayla Farley, Teddy Weckbacher, III, Jo-Anna Weckbacher, Destini Riposta, Brandon & Brittney Weckbacher, Tamera McQuillan, Bailey Richardson, Madison Richardson and God-Daughter, Kathleen McQuillan, her beloved great nieces, nephews, cousins and the many friends from coast to coast, and last but not least her beloved dog Lotus (Lottie) who will all deeply miss her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 1:00PM-3:00PM at the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 4 West Washington St. (Corner Rte. 58), Hanson, MA  02341.

Donations may be directed to the Memorial Fund:  The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
