John Craig Obituary

John B. Craig, age 74, of Hanson, MA., formerly of Stoughton, MA., passed away on November 13, 2022 at Brockton Hospital.

Born 9/29/1948 in Brockton, MA, son of the late Franklin Craig Junior and the late Helen (Corkum) Craig, John graduated from Stoughton High School. Prior to retiring, John worked as an automotive mechanic.

John was preceeded in death by one week by his wife, Beverly J. (MacNeil) Craig. Beverly was the love of John's life. They were devoted to one another through all of life's adversity and joys. John and Beverly loved many pets in their lifetime. Their pet rescue dogs included Charlie, Buddy one and Buddy two, the most recent of which, who survives them, is "Buddy" two. Always for the "underdog", John and Beverly chose animals who might have had a lesser chance of being adopted and gave them a loving home and good care. John was a quiet, kind and strong man.

John is survived by his sister Rosemary Martin and her husband Al of Stoughton, his brothers Franklin Craig and his wife Diane of Stoughton, William and his wife Dianne of Hill, NH, and his sister Nancy Craig of Mason, NH. John was also the brother of the late Steven Craig of Nashua, NH.

A remembrance service for John and Beverly will be held on December 10, 2022 at the First Congregational Church on High Street in Hanson, MA. at 11:00AM.

Arrangements by Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 4 West Washington St., Hanson, MA.
