Joan E. (Harron) Palsson

Joan E. (Harron) Palsson of Duxbury passed away suddenly Saturday February 18, 2023 at the age of 83. Daughter of William and Miriam Harron, she was born January 21, 1940 and raised in Quincy, Mass. While growing up, she met her best friend and future husband, Jonathon Palsson. They lived in Duxbury, Mass for 54 years, but they also enjoyed spending time in Sarasota, Fla and at their cottage on Thompson Lake, Maine.

She graduated from Quincy High School in 1957 and later from Chamberlain School of Retailing in Boston. She worked in the retail industry for a time, but then discovered her love of real estate. She obtained her real estate license and worked for Jack Conway Real Estate in Marshfield, selling houses to first time buyers, established home owners and newcomers to the South Shore. She enjoyed her job, worked hard for all her clients and as a result had many repeat customers.

Furthering her career, she went on to become the town appraiser for Marshfield. Joan was qualified to not only appraise individual homes, but also businesses and their interiors.

Joan was very organized, and she could readily access any document in her possession. She relished finding and trying new recipes, so eating dinner at her table was always a pleasure. Her other pastime was reading non-fiction books and keeping track of U.S. and world news.

She leaves behind her son, Timothy Palsson, her grandson, Luke Palsson and her sister Janet Harron Jackson as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and both her parents.
