Jean F. Boyd (Oliver) of Brockton, passed away peacefully on February 19, 22 at the age of 90. She was the daughter of the late Clarence E. Oliver and Beatrice L. Oliver (Ramos). Jean was born in New Bedford and raised in Harwich until her marriage in 1956. She was predeceased by her loving husband, the late Raymond E. Boyd of Brockton.
Jean enjoyed her family and friends, most of whom called her "Auntie". Always kind and good natured, Jean liked fashion and jewelry. She collected many types of dolls and angel figurines. At times, she helped her husband at flea markets, yard sales and in the antique shop that they owned.
Jean was the eldest of six children, all who have passed. She is survived by her four children; Pamela Johnson and her husband Paul of Hanson, Marcia Goulet of Sandwich, Gina Hoppe and her husband Kenny of Easton and Gary Boyd of Brockton. She leaves behind four grandchildren, her "Sunshines"; Eevie Wynters, Paige Goulet, Sebastian Boyd and Tatiana Boyd as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 4 West Washington St. (Corner Rte. 58, Hanson) on Sunday, February 27th from 1:00PM-3:00PM with a service in the funeral home at 3:00PM. Masks are recommended. A private burial will follow on Tuesday, March 1st. at the Elmwood Cemetery in East Bridgewater at 11:00AM.
