Donald W. Kent 86 yrs. old, from Falmouth MA., passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side after a battle with kidney disease on August 10, 2023.
A son of the late Charles Kent and Florence (Hibbert), he was born April 21st, 1937, in Boston MA. Don met and married the late Peggy (Brownell) – (his childhood sweetheart of 52 years) at Ruggles Street Baptist Church in Boston MA. Don was a CPA and owned his own business Donald W. Kent, CPA in Brockton, MA for 40 years before moving to Cape Cod to set up a new office KPA – Kent Parker and Associates located in Falmouth MA. Don was still working until last year as a CPA and Financial Planner at KPA. Don became a member of Paul Revere Lodge in Brockton on June 18, 1974, he was past treasurer and held that position for over 20 years; he was also affiliated with the Mariners Lodge - Falmouth Ma. Don enjoyed traveling with his wife Peggy and his family and his friends over the years. Don was always up for an adventure! Some of his favorite places included St. Maarten, Greece and Italy.
Don is survived by his two brothers Steven Kent of Pembroke, NH, George Kent of Needham, MA, and the late James Kent of Concord NH., his daughters, Debra Chronicle of Attleboro, MA Denise Parker of North Easton, MA Dianne Loftus of Ormond Beach, FL., and the late Donna Sjostedt of Palm Coast FL., his grandchildren, Joshua Parker, Crystal Parker, Meagan DiMone and Kaytlin Sjostedt, his great grandchildren, Jacob Parker, Matthew Parker, Aiden DiMone, and Waylon DiMone. Don will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at:
Easton Baptist Church, 197 Bay Road, North Easton, MA 02356. Saturday, September 30th, at 1 pm followed by a celebration of life with family and friends remembering Don.
