Dennis K Gibbons

Dennis Keith Gibbons, 64, of Hull, Massachusetts, passed away on December 21, 2023, suddenly at his home in Hull. Dennis was born at Dixon Army Base Hospital in New Jersey.  Dennis grew up in Hull and was a “Village Kid” who graduated from Hull High School in 1978. After High School Dennis enlisted and proudly served in the USAF as a Staff Sgt working on B-52 Bombers earning multiple achievements. During that time, he married the love of his life and had 2 children. After his military career, Dennis returned home to Hull to raise his family and worked for many years for HIM Mechanical Service in Bridgewater. Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and could often be found listening to country by the BBQ grill where he was right 99% of the time. Dennis was an avid fisherman who thoroughly enjoyed being out on the water catching striped bass and tuna. Dennis truly enjoyed his Saturday night poker games as well. Dennis could often be found walking around Strawberry Hill with his beloved dog Lucy (Poo-pie) and pampering her with homemade meals. Nothing brought greater joy to Dennis than knowing his children and grandchildren are all home in Hull. Dennis in his own mind was a grinch but nothing made him happier than to see his grandkids on Christmas morning opening their gifts. 
Dennis was predeceased by his parents Alice and Edward Gibbons (Hull), Brothers Harold & Michael Gibbons (Hull), & Sister Dawn Campbell (Hull). Mr. Gibbons is survived by his wife of 42 years Deborah Gibbons (Hull); Son David & Wife Tina (Hull); Daughter Christine Quan (Hull); Grandchildren Aiden Gibbons, Nathan & Avery Quan (Hull); Brother Robert Gibbons (Wareham); Brother Jeffery Gibbons (Hull) & Sister Laurie Lapham White (Weymouth). Dennis is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
A celebration of Life will be held at a time to be determined.  The interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hull Boosters (PO Box 305 Hull MA 02045), an organization Dennis and his family felt strongly about.

A graveside service will be held at the Mass National Cemetery in Bourne on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 9:45 AM and a Celebration of Dennis's life will be held after the service in Bourne at the Salt Water Club 3 Fitzpatrick Way Hull, MA 02045 at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
