Christina Lynn Newomb

Christina Lynn Newcomb passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2021. She was born on April 15, 1976 and graduated from WHRHS in 1994.

She was a fun-loving sweet generous soul who would give you the shirt off her back then turn around and steal your favorite sweatshirt when you weren’t looking. She had that wicked Boston charm known as sarcasm and her broad sense of humor had a delicious bite-sized dark streak. Chrissy was born with a heart of gold, making her an extremely empathetic and sensitive soul. She was a loving caretaker, bedside nurse, dog whisperer and adorer of all children.

She spent 32 years fighting a strong battle against diabetes, and defied death on many occasions. Thyroid cancer was no match for Chrissy as a teen she sent it crying for it’s mommy, and when rheumatoid arthritis and autoimmune disease moved in she continued to go all Cobra Kai on it. At 41 her golden heart was under attack yet she escaped deaths grasp with a pace maker and warrior scar in tow - so you know, she was a petite badass mofo (who obviously appreciated well placed f bombs). 

She is survived by her mother Elaine (Hilly) Newcomb of Hanson, and her siblings Kimberly Perteet, Stacia Newcomb, Kenneth Newcomb of Hanson and her much loved, furry little soul mate, a Cavalier King Charles named “Kramer.” She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth M. Newcomb Jr.

Christina's Celebration of Life Party will be held onFriday, November 12, from 6-9pm at the Meadowbrook Restaurant, 1486 Main St. Hanson
