Anne Siereveld Obituary

Anne T. (Mollomo) Siereveld

Anne Siereveld, age 90, of Hanson passed away peacefully in her home on April 15, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Donald Siereveld and the daughter of the late Dominic Mollomo and Dorothy Madlyn (Mollomo) Balboni.

Anne was raised in Pembroke and graduated from Pembroke High School in 1947.  She was a talented athlete during her high school years and was the first recipient from her school to receive the Gurney Sportsmanship Award.  After high school, Anne served four years in the U.S. Navy. It was while she was stationed in Hawaii at Pearl Harbor during the Korean War that she met her husband who was also serving in the U.S. Navy.  After their discharge, the two were married and moved to Hanson where they raised their family. Anne loved to travel and took countless driving trips throughout the United States visiting historical sites and cathedrals. She loved to listen to music from her large collection of LP records. She enjoyed reading, genealogy, creative writing, storytelling, cooking, musicals, and her nightly glass of wine. One of her favorite places to be was at home, sitting in her back yard under the pines surrounded by her family who she cherished more than anything else in the world.

Anne is survived by her husband Donald of 65 years and their three children: Scott Siereveld and his wife Leah, David Siereveld and his wife Tina, and Terese Croghan and her husband Stephen, all of Hanson.  She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her loving siblings: Frank Mollomo of Halifax, Roy Mollomo of Maine, and Dorothea Silvia of Florida. Anne will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, strength, courage, and incredible sense of humor. She was the rock of her family and will be forever missed. Anne’s family would like to thank the nurses at Old Colony Hospice Care for the compassion and care they provided during her final days. At Anne’s request, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory can be made to Old Colony Hospice and Palliative Care, 321 Manley St, West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
