Walter M. (Gator) Gurry,65 of Hanson passed away suddenly at his home on April 12th, 2024. He was born in Brockton May 19th 1958 to the late John H. Gurry and Dorothy E. (Hutchins)  Gurry . "the Gator" spent most of his life in Hanson, graduating from Whitman Hanson Regional High School. He went on to work at Litecontrol Corp in Hanson and from there he became a self employed  as a Landscaper/handyman which was the thing he enjoyed the most. He loved playing football and then following his beloved "Fighting Irish" and his Pittsburg Steelers. He was a long time communicant of the Holy Ghost church in Whitman where his devotion to the church became another big part of his life. Walter is survived by his sister Beverly Stoddard of Monponsett and a brother John H Gurry and his wife Susan of Halifax , His friend Patricia  Von Schreiber and his long time friend Alvin Fougere . He was predeceased by his sister Patricia Devost and brother Kevin Gurry. Services will be private.
