Thomas W. Uniacke, retired City of Boston Firefighter of Sagamore, MA formerly of Mattapan MA, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on April 9, 2025.  He was the late son of Tom and Mary Day Uniacke.  Beloved husband of 25 years of the late Genevieve Uniacke.  Devoted father of Christopher Uniacke and wife Liz Uniacke of Attleboro, Massachusetts and Julie Hutt and husband Lawrence Hutt of San Diego, California.  Loving grandpa of Dillon and Haylee Uniacke and Rylan and Presly Hutt.  Dear brother of Kevin Uniacke and wife Dorothea Uniacke,  and the late Joseph Uniacke. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as Genevieve's children Shirly McEachern and her husband, Don, their children, Connor McEachern and Alyssa McEachern of East Bridgewater, MA, and Kenneth Rogers Jr. and his wife, June, and child, Kyle Roger of Malta, NY.  Tom grew up in Mattapan, Massachusetts, and graduated from Don Bosco Technical High School.  He joined the Boston Fire Department in 1965 and retired in 2000.  He was a member of Ladder Co. 23, Engine Company 24, Ladder Co. 28, Engine Company 48, and Ladder Co. 10.  While serving the Boston Fire Department, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award more than once.  He was proud to be a firefighter and loved his job.  We will miss his sense of humor and big smile.
