Susan M Deegan beloved daughter, sister and friend, passed away on October 18th, 2026, at the age of 67, peacefully surrounded by family. Though her passing leaves a deep sadness in the hearts of those who loved her, we choose to celebrate a life filled with love, cherished memories, laughter, and meaningful connections. Born on July 27, 1959, in Boston. Susan lived a life marked by strength, generosity, humor, and love. She touched the lives of so many through her caring heart, her unique spirit, and the special way she made others feel loved and valued. Susan treasured family, friendships, hobbies, traveling and shopping. Susan’s greatest joy was her late dog, Stella. Susan was the daughter of the late Robert W. Deegan SR and Barbara (Schaejbe) Esdra, Stepfather Late Joseph Esdra, Stepmother, Kim Deegan, Brothers, Bob Deegan, fiancée Carole Deyesso, Shawn Deegan, fiancée Laura Chappell, Douglas Deegan and wife Marylou Deegan, sister Kelley Deegan-Conroy and late Michael Conroy, brother Brian Deegan and wife Jennifer Deegan, Stepbrothers Kenneth Esdra, Joseph Esdra, Paul & Julie Esdra and many nieces and nephews. Susan was preceded in death by nephew Macdouglas Deegan.Rather than focusing only on our loss, we invite everyone to remember and celebrate the beautiful life Susan lived. Her love, laughter, and legacy will never be forgotten.A gravesite celebration of life was held on October 31st, 2026, at 11:00 AM in Halifax.
