Obituary
Shirley A. Derochea (Marshall) of Halifax passed away in her home on Saturday, February 23, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was 78 years old. She was born in Fairhaven; daughter of the late Charles & Doris (Appleby) Marshall. She was the wife of William C. Derochea Sr., and mother of Debra (Derochea) Campbell of Newton, New Jersey, Michelle Marie Totino of Long Island, NY, William C. Derochea Jr. of Stillman, AZ and Michael Scott Derochea of Halifax. She was the sister of William Zoccolante of TN, Cecile Smith of FL, and the late Edward Zoccolante. Shirley is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and many nieces & nephews.
Shirley was registered nurse and worked in healthcare for many years. She was a member of the Halifax PTA, the Halifax Recreational League, and coached her children's softball teams. She enjoyed playing BINGO, knitting, crocheting, sewing, reading, bowling, crosswords, and dancing.
Funeral services will be private.
