Ruth A. (Perry) Barrows of Hanson, formerly of Plymouth passed away peacefully on October 7, 2012. Mrs. Barrows was 78 years old. She was the wife of the late Harry K. Barrows. Ruth was the mother of Marie C. Coots and the late William K. Barrows. She is survived by her 7 loving grandchildren and her 10 great grandchildren. Ruth was the granddaughter of the late George and Lillian Ellis.

Mrs. Barrows was born on January 11, 1934 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Ruth was the daughter of the late Francis and Louisa (Ellis) Perry. She moved to Hanson in 1951 and called the town home for the rest of her life. Ruth enjoyed reading and knitting. Listening to country music was one of her greatest joys. Every year she and her husband Harry would travel to Nashville to take in the sites and music. Mrs. Barrows worked for Standard Products in Whitman before becoming a hardworking homemaker. She will be loved and missed by all whom she touched.

Ruth will be remembered during a graveside service on Thursday October 11 ^th at 10am in Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson, MA. There will be no calling hours. All who are able are more than welcome to attend. Arrangements are under the care of Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home of Hanson, Massachusetts.
