MacKinnon, Robert B.

Of Marshfield, formerly of Neponset, died June 30 at 86 years old, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of the late Mary G. (Flaherty) MacKinnon, he was a retired Boston firefighter with Engine 3.

Son of the late Ralph A., a Boston Fire lieutenant with Engine 10, and Lucille Irene (LeMay) MacKinnon. Loving father to Robert B. MacKinnon Jr. and his wife, Claire, of Plymouth; Michael P. MacKinnon and his wife, Lisa, of Marshfield; Scott A. MacKinnon and his wife, Cara, of Marshfield; Amy MacKinnon and her partner, Johannes Pfeifenberger, of Cohasset; and Jonathan A. MacKinnon and his wife, Ashleigh, of Marshfield. A dear friend to his brothers, John A. MacKinnon of Seattle, WA. and Richard D. MacKinnon of Middleborough, retired Boston firefighter with Engine 16, and his wife, Margaret. He is also survived by 12 beloved grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 4 West Washington St (corner of rte 58) Hanson on Sunday, July 7, from 1-4 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Christine's Parish, 1295 Main St./Rte. 3A, Marshfield, on Monday, July 8, at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Couch Cemetery, MARSHFIELD. A reception will follow.
