Richard (Dick) King of Hanson, Ma passed away on Friday May 1st after a tough battle with cancer. Richard was born July 10th 1952 to Mary(Thompson) and Richard King. He was married to the love of his life, Julia P. Church on October 21, 1972.

He is survived by sister Mary Ann Dale, brother Donald King, and sister Andrea Lipinski. His children Lance and Maureen King, Brien and Mallory King, and Kimberley and Michael King Cavicchi. As well as his grandchildren, Ashley, Samantha, Coleman, Aarron, Angeline, Oliver and Violet.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jeffrey, his sweet grandchild Adreanna Wing, and his loving wife of 48 years, Julia King.

Richard worked as a lineman for New England Phone Company for 30 years. He was also a proud member of the US army national guard. He retired at 50 and was able to enjoy his love of the ocean as a commercial lobsterman. His boat "The Ripple" was moored in Plymouth, Ma. He enjoyed taking his kids and grandkids out on many boating adventures. He enjoyed being a part of the Cold Spring Club in Plymouth and had many friends there. He loved his family and he will be greatly missed by all. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
