Norma Jean Kent passed away on May 29th, 2024 after a brief illness, at the age of 95. She was a devoted wife until her husband passed away 8 years ago, and she remained a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sister, Edna Delorme of NewIpswich, NH, her daughter Marsha Jean Leonard of Plymouth, MA, and her son, David Wallace Kent of Naples, ME. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Norma was one of 3 children and grew up in the town of Waterboro, Maine, attending and graduating in the local school district. From there she attended school, learning to, and becoming a beautician. After marrying she became a mother and spent many years raising her two children. As her children entered public school, she started working in the school cafeteria program, working her way up and eventually becoming the school district dietician in the Silver Lake School District. After retiring she spent much of her time working in her yard and gardens. Something that provided her with much pleasure, along with seeing her children and grandchildren whenever she had the chance.

Visiting hour will be at the New Hope Chapel 89 Court St, Plymouth Friday from 3-4 PM with services at 4 PM in the Chapel. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements by Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, Hanson.
