On Sunday, December 29th, 2019, Michael Christopher Collins, loving husband, son, brother, and uncle, passed away surrounded by friends and family at the age of 39.

Michael was born on January 9, 1980 in Weymouth, MA to Peter and Ann Marie (Maciejewski) Collins. On October 31, 2009, he married Sara Jean Johnson, his soulmate and love of his life, and they devoted their hearts and souls to each other.

Michael was a talented musician, and played guitar, bass, and was learning the cello. He was passionate about all animals, and could quickly befriend any living creature. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, his smile lit up a room, and his quick wit and contagious laughter brought everyone around him joy. A talented artist as well, he designed multiple tattoos for friends and family, and had a love and appreciation for all forms of art. He dedicated his life to making people happy, and was wildly successful at it.

Michael was predeceased by his mother, Ann. He is survived by his devoted wife of ten years, Sara, his father, Peter, his sisters Donna, Cathie, and Amy, his nephews Jim, Nathan, and Jon, and his niece Caitlin.

A wake will be held on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 from 10am to 2pm at the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 4 West Washington St., Hanson MA.
