Melissa Marie Barkowsky, 42 years old, born in Boston and raised in Hanover passed away on December 16t.h  She will be truly missed by her beloved daughter Ava and Ava's devoted dad Michael Gallagher. She is also survived by her parents William and Karen Barkowsky of Hanover , her brother William and wife Laurie of Kingston, her brother Sean of Hanover, her brother David and wife Marianne of Carver and she is preceded by her sister Laura. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that adored her along with a great nephew.

Melissa had a zest for life, was adventurous and had a smile that lit up a room.  She was a hairdresser by trade and enjoyed making everyone feel beautiful. Her greatest accomplishment in life was her amazing daughter Ava and she will truly be missed by many.

Visiting hours will be held from the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (Corner of Rte. 58) Hanson, on Thursday December 22, 2022  9 AM to 12 noon with services at 12 noon. Relatives and Friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will take place at Centre Cemetery, Hanover, MA.
