Maurice W. Duquette Jr., of Brockton, Massachusetts, also known by family and friends as Little Morris, Mo, and Duke, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024, at the age of 80, surrounded by his loving family and friends. A devoted father, brother, husband and friend, Maurice lived a full and faithful life marked by his deep faith in God.
Born on August 4, 1944, in Brockton, MA, to Maurice W. Duquette Sr. and Isabelle R. Bailey, Maurice embraced life with purpose and promise. In his professional career he was a self-employed contractor, whose work can be found all over the area. Beyond that he was a boxer, motorcycle rider and pilot. He was a lifelong learner who enjoyed studying languages and building intricate models from scratch.
Maurice's unwavering faith defined his life. As a devoted Jehovah's Witness, attending the East Campello Congregation in Brockton MA, he found great joy and purpose in sharing the word of God, touching the lives of many with kindness, wisdom and dedication to his beliefs.
He was preceded in death by his former spouses, Karen Ann (Sergi) Duquette and Lisa Marie (Stovall) Duquette. He is survived by his former wife, Kathy (Hill) Duquette.
Maurice leaves behind a large and loving family, including his children: William G. F. Duquette, Kimbly M. (Duquette) Benson, Wendy A. Duquette, Jeffrey D. Duquette, Shannon E. (Hill) Lang, Tracy D. (Duquette) Dure, Justin S. Duquette, Timothy Stovall and Jonathan Mylonas.
He was a proud grandfather to Jade, Jaclene, Matthew, Jonathan, Marlowe, Francesca, Owen, Alexander, Kylie, Haiden and Ethan as well as a great-grandfather.
Furthermore, he is survived by his brothers Lawrence F. Duquette, Fred Duquette, Thomas D. Duquette and Burt S. Duquette, along with their wives Cathy, Alice, Susan and Luana.
Maurice's life was a testament to hard work, faith and family. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, boundless energy and unwavering commitment to those he loved as well as his never ending story telling and bad dad jokes.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 7th at 3:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 444 Plain Street, Brockton MA, 02302 where friends and family will gather to honor Maurice's life and legacy.
