Mary V. O'Donnell (McDonald) of Halifax passed away on January 1, 2015 at the Brockton Hospital. She was 81 years old. She was born in Boston; daughter of the late Joseph L. & Blanche G. (Spears) McDonald. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas E. O'Donnell and the beloved mother of Thomas E. O'Donnell Jr. of New York, Mary Prouty of Halifax, and Elizabeth Desmarais of Hanson. She was the devoted sister of Harold J. McDonald of Avon and Claire Cox of Sandwich. She was the cherished grandmother of Joshua Prouty, Ashley Prouty, Samantha Desmarais and the late Jake Desmarais. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, Jan. 5, from 4-7 pm in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (at Rte 58), Hanson. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9 am in Our Lady of the Lake Church in Halifax with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery in Brockton.
