Mary Edmiston McIntyre, 87, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness on October 15,2023. Mary was born on March 18, 1936 in Maryhill, Scotland. Mary is predeceased by her loving husband Arthur McIntyre who passed away on March 17, 2023. She is also predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Jean Logie and her brother John Logie, all of whom resided in Glasgow, Scotland. Mary had a wonderful way of making people feel special and loved. She will be missed and dearly remembered by her family and all those whose lives she touched. Mary's love and joy was her family. Mary and Arthur were married in Glasgow, Scotland. Earlier this year they celebrated their 66th anniversary. Mary moved to the United States in 1963 with her family. She worked as a dietary aid at Resthaven nursing home in Braintree for many years. Mary was a dedicated mother to her children, Allan McIntyre and his wife Alicia of Pembroke, and Alastair McIntyre and Judy Harriman of New Hampshire. She is survived by her grandchildren, Michelle McIntyre, Alyssa McIntyre and her fiance Adam Barzelay, Steven McIntyre, Nicole McIntyre and her husband Nick Johnson, Cameron McIntyre and Adam McIntyre. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter Kira McIntyre as well as many nieces and nephews. A collation will be held at Phoenix Lodge,133 Broadway St., Hanover on November 11 at noon.
