Benton, Marilyn Jean (Nicosia) (Ciampa) Age 79 passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday August 20, 2021.

Marilyn, formerly of Hanover, MA, was born and raised in Somerville, MA. She retired from the Sherrill House nursing home, in Brookline, MA after a 20-year career as a Patient Administrator Assistant.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, ballroom dancing, country music, and visiting casinos.

She had a bigger than life personality and a great sense of humor.  Being mom was not lost with her.  Her kids were her kids no matter what age they were.

Her sweet and generous spirit will remain in the memory of her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed, by all who knew and loved her.

Marilyn was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Ralph Benton, her brother John Nicosia, and her dear friend Vincent Griffin.

Marilyn is survived by her sister, Loretta Haynes and her husband Gregory, her sister-in-law Norma Nicosia, her children; Richard and Dee Ciampa, Wayne and Kristine Ciampa, Kenneth Ciampa and his fiancé Carol, Debbie and Rick Mitchell, and Blake and Maggie Ciampa, 14 grandchildren: Jaimie, Chelsea, Dana, Samantha, Serena, Cole, Nicholas, Katherine, Matthew, Catherine, Ricky, David, Michael, and Nicole, and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (Corner of Rte. 58) Hanson on Tuesday August 31st  3-6 PM. Funeral Mass in Holy Apostles Parish (St. Joseph the Worker Church) Corner of Rte.'s 14 and 58 Hanson on Wednesday September 1st at 11 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
