Joseph F. Ryan Sr. of Pembroke passed away at So. Shore Hospital Saturday July 2, 2022 at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of Patricia H. (Barry) Ryan. The loving father of        Christine M. Ryan of Marshfield and Joseph F. Ryan Jr. of Pembroke. Brother of Richard Ryan of Kingston and Ruth Ann Prifty of NH. Grandfather of Delaney V. Ryan.

Joseph was a Graduate of Suffolk University with a BS in Accounting. A Board Member of Pembroke Council on Aging, Member and Officer of Braintree Rotary Club and earned the Paul Harris Fellow. He was a part time driver for The Council on Aging in Pembroke. The Owner and President of Custom Glass, Braintree from 1988 to 2014. He interviewed, hired and trained employees. Conducted monthly ongoing training for installers and shop employees, purchasing, payroll, and budgeting, and prepared monthly and quarterly payroll reports for State and Federal requirements.

Business Agent for the State Board of Education from 1977 to 1988. As fiscal officer, administered, coordinated , and supervised the accounting, fiscal reporting, purchasing, payroll, inventory, maintenance and repairs, facility management, budgetary control, and disbursements for the Department of Education in addition to conducting in house training for employees. He had Experience in space design and layout.

Friends say they never met a man who could work with his mind as well as his hands.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Thecla's Church 145 Washington St. (Rte. 53) in Pembroke on Friday July 15th at 9 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.. Arrangements by Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, Hanson.
