John Hudson Elms Sr. of Hanson passed away on Friday November 27, 2020 at the age of 86. He was born January 15, 1934 in Boston and his Family was from Watertown. He is the beloved husband of 64 Years to Marion A. (Shorey) Elms.  Loving Father of Karen Johnson and her Husband Kenneth, John Elms Jr. and his wife Susan, and David Elms and his Partner Gretchen. Grandfather to 4 grandchildren, Lisa Flannery, Lauren Giuliano and her Husband Justin, Alan Elms ,and Trever Elms and his wife Megan. 1 Great Grandchild Ray Alexander Giuliano.

John was a U.S. Army Veteran as a Helicopter Crew Chief. He was one of the original  founders of the Boy's Athletic League, he  was on the wage and Personnel Board for the Town of Hanson, and was a long time employee of Digital Equipment Corp. John and his Wife Marion spent his retirement years traveling to almost every state, visiting National Parks.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
