It is with deep sadness that we announce John C. Dolim, Sr., passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family at the age of 80 on July 11th 2026. Born on January 17th, 1946, in Madeira Island, Portugal. John came to this country when he was seven. He was the son of the late Mary (DeOlim) Sylvia & Manuel DeOlim and Step-Son of the late Edward Sylvia, Sr. John grew up in Brocton & graduated from Brockton High School in 1966. John was the beloved husband of Dorothy " Dottie" (Fahnley) Dolim whom he shared over 50 years of marriage. John worked as a mechanic his whole life & retired from Grossman's Lumber as a mechanic. John has been a long time brother of the Freemasons with the Phoenix Lodge of Hanover and a member of the Dull Men's Club of Pembroke.

John is survived by his children John Jr of Pembroke & Michelle Dolim of Plymouth. He was the proud grandfather of Brittany Dolim Donoghue (Jack) & Chantalle Dolim Cespededs (Juan). John was loved by his three Great Grandchildren Cameron, Keria & Luca. He is survived by his siblings, Maria Hirschman (Frank) Isabella, MO, Cathy Wolfrum (Alan), Stoughton, MA, and Ed Sylvia, Jr. (Paula) Grantham, NH.

Visiting Hours will be in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. ( Corner of Rte. 58) Hanson on Thursday July 16th, 4-7 PM with services in the Funeral Home at 7 PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
