Janet Ruth Landers of Onset, formerly of Brockton, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the age of 83. The beloved daughter of the late Alton Dexter Landers and Stella Corinne (Hunter) Landers. Sister of Dexter Landers of Northfield, VT, Mary Louise O'Brien of East Bridgewater, and Doris Ann Levine of FL. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Janet was a graduate of the Brockton High School Class of 1960. She then went on and graduated from Brockton Hospital School of Nursing with a BS Degree in Nursing. She earned a Master of Education in Health and Science at Bridgewater State in 1983. She was employed at Goddard Hospital in Stoughton and Tobey Hospital in Wareham. She taught nursing in the Upper Cape Regional School and was an avid coordinator of the Onset Island Activities.

A visiting hour will be held from the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (Corner Rte. 58) Hanson on Thursday July 31, 2025  from 9-10 AM with a service at 10 AM In the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
