James D. Wiley, 59 of Bridgewater formerly of Halifax passed away peacefully on July 18, 2022 with his family by his side.

The loving father to David J. Wiley of Bridgewater. Son to the late Edward C. Wiley, Sr. and Nancy J. Wiley. Sister and Brother to the late Jeanie F. Place, Beverly A. White "Wiley", Edward C. Wiley Jr., Nancy A. Trop "Wiley", and Steven J. Wiley. Uncle of Nancy J. Harding "Trop", Kerri L Trop, Steven J. Trop, Jacquelyn M. White, Hannah E. White. Great Uncle to Noah, Charlotte, Delaney, Logan and Oliver.

Born February 11, 1963, James spent his childhood camping and fishing. He played football in High School. He was a concrete laborer for 20+ years. He was family oriented and loved spending time with the kids. James was a selfless man, and took care of his mother until her passing in 2021. He was known to be a jokester. He loved to make people smile. He has always been great with kids. He loved all animals. The passing of his dog, baby girl, was heartbreaking. A few years later, he adopted a kitten and named her Grace. He had a special bond with all of his pets.

Visiting hours will be held in the Leighton-Mackinnon Funeral Home, 4 West Washington St. (Corner of Rte. 58), Hanson on July 22, 2022 from 5-7pm with a service at 7pm at the Funeral Home.
