IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James
Connors
September 16, 1960 – June 20, 2020
James Connors of Abington, formerly of Whitman, Marshfield, Weymouth and Dorchester, passed away on June 20, 2020. James was born on September 16, 1960, the son of the late Paul J. Connors and the late Olive E. Connors. He is survived by his sister Janet Connors of Dorchester; his sister Susan Wadman and her husband, David of Whitman; his brother Paul Connors and his wife, Maureen of N. Andover; and his sister Nancy Lilly and her husband, Brian of S. Weymouth. He is also survived by his aunt Dorothy Dolim and her husband, John of Pembroke, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, who fondly remember his warm smile and quick wit, he never missed an opportunity to make a clever pun. Jim had many "angels" in his life, most notably his mother Olive, who loved him unconditionally; his dear friend Dorothy O'Leary of Abington, whose care and compassion sustained him for the past eight years; his longtime friend Don Schindler of Scituate, who never gave up and could always make Jim laugh; and his niece Jocelyn, who despite their geographical separation, maintained a loving relationship with her Uncle Jimmy.
Jim was born in Dorchester and later moved to S. Weymouth, where he graduated from Weymouth Vocational Technical High School. He worked as a union carpenter before becoming self-employed. He shared his mother's love of animals, especially for his dog Stymie, who was his constant companion. He enjoyed boating with his father, kayaking on Kerri's pond, running, biking, and skeet shooting. Jim also enjoyed listening to his music and watching Boston sports. In his later years, he suffered mobility issues which prevented him from continuing some of these activities, but he never lost his sense of humor. Jim had a huge heart and was loved by his family and friends more than he ever knew. He will be deeply missed.
