Obituary

Jacqueline "Jackie" P. Ibbitson of Hanson passed away on Monday, April 8, surrounded by her family in her home. She was born, Nov. 11, 1933, in Whitman, the daughter of the late Amos P. Plasse of Whitman and the late Grace B. (Lawson) Plasse Mansfield and step daughter of the late William A. Mansfield. She was the beloved wife of the late Raleigh D. Ibbitson for 41 years. She is survived by her children Jo-Ann Banner of Pembroke and Debbie Reed and her husband John E. Reed of Hanson, her grandchildren, Christopher L. Banner, Thomas E. Reed, Jeffrey M. Reed, and the late Jennifer Lyn Reed, and one great grand son, Thomas E. Reed, Jr. As well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Beverly LaFauci, Dorothy A. Swan, and Edward J. Plasse, and Marie Pompeo.

Jacqueline worked as a school bus driver for the Town of Hanson for 15 years. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Hanson where she was in the choir and the Helping Hands Group. She was also a member of TOPS MA 97 of Whitman. She enjoyed painting, quilting, and cross stitching, and traveling with her friend Sharon. She leaves a very dear friend Sue and many others, as well as her Special nephew Steven and his family in N.H.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 11, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (at Rte 58), Hanson. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday at 11 am in the funeral home with burial to follow in Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jacqueline's memory to the Helping Hands Group at the First Baptist Church of Hanson 214 Main St., Hanson, MA 02341.
