Henry Joseph "Hank" Finn of Middleboro, MA (formerly of Halifax MA) passed away at the age of 80 on January 26, 2022 after a brief hospital stay. He is survived by his son Christopher M. Finn and wife Deborah of Plymouth; daughter Melissa A. Boyd and husband Thomas of Middleboro; and grandchildren Victoria, Patrick, Daniel, Joseph, Brittney, Gregory, and Alexis. Predeceased by his loving wife Suzanne E. (Lewis) and son Gregory S. Finn. He is also survived by his 9 siblings Mildred Galley, Alice Finn, Marie Finn, Katherine Lynch, Agnes Mason, Helen Priscella, Joan Walsh, John Finn, and Robert Finn.
Henry attended Boston Trade School before proudly serving his county in the U.S. Army. He had several occupations over the years before going back to school to become a Respiratory Therapist and worked at Brigham and Women's Hospital until he retired. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, game shows, playing cards, fishing, and drives to the Cape Cod Canal. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, especially his loving grandchildren. He may best be remembered by his generous spirit, unending love, and his gift of giving the best hugs. He was always the first to offer a helping hand and friendly conversation.
Henry was a man of God and had unwavering faith. Over the years he served the church in many roles including Holy Name Society, CCD teacher, Confirmation teacher, eucharistic minister, and lecter. He was a regular attendee at mass.
Visiting hours will be in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. in Hanson on Tuesday February 1 from 3-7pm. Funeral mass Wednesday February 2 at 11am at Holy Apostles Parish/St. Joseph the Worker Church 4 Maquan Street in Hanson. Burial to follow at Central Cemetery in Halifax.
