Helen (Lenane) Ambrose 90 of Hanson MA, passed away on Tuesday July 30, 2024 at Bridges By Epoch for memory care in Hingham MA. Helen was born in Boston MA on May 23, 1934 to the late Peter and Mary (Culkeen) Lenane. She was raised in Allston MA and attended St. Anthony's Schools She was the loving wife of the late Roderich Ambrose Sr. for 66 years. Helen worked for many years at Raytheon in Waltham MA, before moving to Brockton MA where she was well known for making sub/sandwiches at Winter Hill Variety before venturing out on her own at Dan's Variety Store in Rockland MA.Helen loved spending time vacationing with family as well as playing the dog and horse races with family and friends. She leaves behind three sons Roderich Ambrose Jr and wife Kathleen of Abington, Joseph Ambrose and his wife Susan of Milton and Rockland, and Daniel Ambrose his late wife Christina of Hanson. She was the sister of the late John Lenane and his wife Helen, the late Paul Lenane and his wife Helen, the late Thomas Lenane, and her favorite sister the late Mary Devine and her husband Joseph all of Boston.She was the loving grandmother to seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren and the loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be from the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (Corner Rte. 58) Hanson onSaturday morning August 3, 2024 8:30 - 10:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph the Worker Church Holy Apostles ParishCorner of Rte's 14 and 58 in Hanson at 11am. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial will follow in Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson.
