IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Georgia Jean
(Savage) Hoder
December 29, 2022
Georgia Jean (Savage) Hoder of Hanson, age 92, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Beloved friend of the late William "Bill" Beguerie, loving mother of John Hoder and his wife Lusana, grandmother of Joyce Hoder, and aunt of Tracey Myers and her husband Alan of Colorado. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Delano of Braintree. Jean turned her love of art, her expertise at decorative painting, and her desire to teach others into a successful business. She founded The Bittersweet Gallery in her basement, and along with Bill expanded it to become a well-respected arts and crafts store that offered painting classes, stencils, and a variety of art supplies.
She was a deeply compassionate person, always willing to share, often putting others' needs and concerns before her own. She was a person of deep religious faith. She enjoyed birdwatching (and feeding), reading, cooking, and spending time with her family and many friends.
Visiting hours will be held from the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (Corner of Rte. 58) Hanson on Sunday January 8,2023, from 2:00PM - 4:00 PM with services in the Funeral Home at 4:30 PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
Internment will be private. Feel free to write an online condolence.
