Son of the late George H. Sr. and Beatrice (Raymond) Lewis. Loving father of Beverly L. Lewis of Hanson, George S. Lewis and his wife Susan of Hanson, and Steven C. Lewis and his wife Donna of PA. Brother of the late Allen R. Lewis. Also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

George grew up in Lewiston, Maine and came to Rockland in 1951 and then to Hanson in 1979. He was a long time member and the treasurer of the Rockland Baptist Church and a current member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Hanson. He was a W.W. II Veteran in the U.S.M.C.

Visiting hours will be held in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (Corner Rte. 58) Hanson on Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Service's will be held in the Calvary Baptist Church Rte. 58
