Gail Christine (Nihill) Gronlund, 82 Gail passed on February 8, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong resident of Hanson, Gail was the daughter of the late Maxine and Leo Nihill. In addition to her husband Edward, she is survived by her 3 children; Kurt and his wife Christine of Berkley, Nanette and her husband Michael of Bridgewater, Keith and his wife Michelle of Whitman. She was the sister of Beverly Alho of Florida. She had many nieces and nephews. She was the loving grandmother to Matthew, Katrina,  Stephen, Andrew, Kevin, Leo and Lucy; as well as  great – grandmother to Grayson. Gail was sunshine to her family. To know her, was to see  and experience love. She loved nature, the gardens that surrounded her house, and all the animals she encountered. Her generosity and kindness to all forms of life was unmatched. Many remember Gail working at the Hanson Town Hall in  the Assessor's Office. While raising her children, she was  a 4-H leader. For many years, she was Ed's companion navigator delivering Meals on Wheels.  Gail found great joy in her grandchildren's activities. She  has been their number one supporter, never missing an  event. When her grandson Matthew graduated from  WHRHS, she was proud to also receive her "Golden Diploma" at the event. She was an avid collector of Yankee Candle. Family  members loved her homemade baked beans and Norwegian Kjøttkaker. Retirement for Gail included annual trips to Florida in her beloved Lincoln with a bulging trunk that barely closed. While eating at local favorite restaurants, she acquired many "adopted" family members that will miss her smile. Gail and Ed have been friends since the ages of 8 and 10. They have been married for 61 years and he still refers to her as "my bride". Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation hours on Tuesday, February 14, held at the First  Congregational Church, 639 High St. Hanson at 9 AM with  service to follow at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, please  consider an act of kindness in her memory.
