Evan M. Peterson of Rockland, formerly of Mansfield, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2012. He was 37 years old. He was born in Brockton; loving son of Sandra Peterson (Huntress) of Rockland and Alan Peterson. He was the beloved brother Eric S. Peterson and his wife Peg of Carver and Ethan A. Peterson and his wife Kim of Whitman. He was the grandson of the late Albert and Joyce Huntress and Warren and Geraldine Peterson. Evan was the devoted uncle to Niklas, Robert, Jonathan, Carly, and Logan. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Evan was a graduate to Rockland High School Class of 1992. He worked as a computer programmer and analyst. He enjoyed watching sports especially the Red Sox and Patriots.

Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday March 28th from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 W. Washington St Hanson, MA (at Rte 58). A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 29th in the funeral home at 10am. Interment will follow in Colebrook Cemetery in Whitman.
