Elizabeth "Betty" J. (MacEacheran) Burke of Hanson formerly of Weymouth passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at her home. She was 67 years old. She was born in Weymouth daughter of the late Stanley and Roberta (Rose) MacEacheran. She was the wife of Leonard Burke of Hanson and mother of Patrick T. Burke of Whitman and Erin E. Burke of Hanson. She was the sister of Karen MacEacheran. She was the grandmother of Brigit Rose Burke.

Betty was a graduate of Weymouth High School Class of 1962 and the Massachusetts College of Art. She founded the Hanson Art Association and was the owner of Burke Art Studio. She was an award winning artist.
