Obituary
Dorothea M. Rist of Hanson formerly of Jamaica Plain passed away peacefully under the caring staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth on February 6, 2015. She was born on May 27, 1934; daughter of the late Adolph and Dorothea (Schloterer) Rist
Ms. Rist attended Rhode Island School of Design and later worked as a buyer for Jordan Marsh and later retired from Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare in Quincy.
Dorothea enjoyed cruising the waters of the Cape & Islands, sewing, jewelry, fashion and shopping at Talbots
She is survived by her dear friends Barbara & David Fox of Mattapoisett, Linda Glodd of Marshfield, Marsha Hutchinson of Kingston, Gail Hayes of Yarmouthport, JP Shipman & Christin Hayes of Bass River, Massachusetts, and Claire & Sean Sinnot of Newnan, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dorothea's memory to the Senior Behavioral Health Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital al 275 Sandwich Street, Plymouth, MA 02360.
Funeral Services will be private with arrangements by the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home in Hanson. To send an online condolence visit www.mackinnonfuneralhomes.com.
