David R. Bearce of Hanson passed away suddenly on Sunday July 16, 2017 at the age of 68. He was the beloved Son of Benjamin Bearce of Halifax and the late Mary (Emerald) Bearce. Loving father of Rhonda Masterson of Halifax, Aaron Bearce of NY, and  Jessica Walsh of CA. Brother of Donald Bearce of Plymouth and Steven Bearce of Halifax. Dear friend of Dot Mathews of Hanson. He was the loving grandfather of Justin & Trevor Masterson and Gabriella & Harper Walsh. He was the former spouse of Janet Bearce and Joyce Cravens.

David was past Commander of the American Legion Post 226 in Hanson, a member of the Whitman V.F.W. Post  697, a Purple Heart recipient, U.S. Army Veteran Vietnam War, a Heavy Equipment Operator, and former Owner of  Center  Autobody in Pembroke.

Visiting hours will be held in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 West Washington St. (Corner Rte. 58) Hanson on Monday July 24th from 4-7 PM.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday July 25th at 11 AM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Mattakeesett St., Pembroke.
