Colleen Morrissey of Hanson passed away on the morning of September 7, 2013, surrounded by loving friends and family. She was 42 years old. Colleen is the daughter of the late Joseph Morrissey of Hanson and is survived by her mother, Gwen Morrissey, and her brothers Matthew and Shawn Morrissey of Hanson. Colleen was the dear friend of Susan Sforza Muscato of Whitman and the loving girlfriend of Gregory Dodge of Pembroke. She was the beloved Godchild of Anne Beatty of Stoughton.

Colleen was born on November 14, 1970 in Quincy. She worked in the field of Information Technology, and devoted herself to her passion of music and stand up comedy. She was a talented bass player and was deeply committed to her group "Comics for Recovery". She was also a substance abuse counselor and dedicated herself to helping others overcome addiction. Colleen enjoyed people, especially children, and took great pleasure in making people laugh. Her most cherished gift was her beautiful smile and infectious laugh that warmed everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A Celebration of Colleen's Life will be held on Sunday September 15 ^th from 4-8pm at the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home 4 W. Washington St. HANSON. All other services will be held privately. Online Condolences may be made at www.mackinnonfuneralhomes.com

In lieu of flowers, donations in Colleen's name may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital so she can continue help and touch the lives of children.
