IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol Anna
Osborne
December 24, 1936 – February 26, 2026
Carol Anna (Stone) Osborne, 89, of Norwell, Massachusetts, was granted her angel wings and welcomed into Heaven on February 26, 2026. She was born to the late Oscar F. W. Stone and Esther Viola (Porter) Stone on December 24, 1936, and spent her childhood playing on the beaches of Squantum in Quincy, Massachusetts, with her late brother, Kenneth Stone. She graduated from North Quincy High School in 1954. She spent many years working at Carney Hospital, and later in life, she finally fulfilled her lifelong dream of owning a flower shop. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly forty years, W. “Scott” Osborne Sr., who passed away in 1992, whom she missed deeply all of these years and is now joyfully reunited with. She is survived by her beloved son, W. “Scott” Osborne Jr., who will miss her every day. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Elin Osborne, who we know gave her the biggest hug when she got there. She deeply cherished being a mom and would always say that becoming a mother gave her a second chance to have a childhood to enjoy, as hers was shortened at the age of 11 by the loss of her mother. One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother to Marissa (Osborne) Dyckman and twins Acelyn and Blaze Osborne. She was also an adored great-grandmother to Ava-Lee, Rory, Lana-Belle, and Brody Dyckman, and the newest addition, Arkham Alexander Blackstone. She also had several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family who loved her greatly.
The best way to describe Carol is that she truly was an angel on Earth. She was a beautiful person inside and out, with the most selfless spirit. Her kindness was unmatched. We will all miss her big, radiant smile that filled any room she walked into. To know her was to love her .Whenever she could, she’d stop at a yard sale or visit a thrift store with her daughter Linda. She loved animals and she loved ice cream. She loved taking Scottie dump-picking as a child and letting him bring home more than they brought. She had an excellent sense of humor. She also had many talents, including watercolor painting and sewing, and was an avid gardener. She had incredible blueberry bushes in her back yard where she created memories with family members, hand picking them for pies, muffins and jams. She was an amazing cook, known especially for her crowd pleasing chocolate chip, peanut butter, and her oatmeal raisin cookies. She was an amazing hostess for every holiday as well. Even during the last few years of her life, while she suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, it never took away her smile or warm demeanor. She was a faithful Christian. She will be missed greatly, and even though our hearts ache, we know her welcoming into Heaven has been filled with so many hugs, smiles, and catching up with everyone she has loved and missed throughout the years. We are all so lucky now to have the greatest guardian angel watching over us. There will be no funeral at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, giving her friends and family a chance to gather, share memories, and honor her. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you perform an act of kindness for someone — a friend, neighbor, or stranger — as Carol would have. Maybe even treat yourself to an ice cream or chocolate chip cookie.
