Betty R. (Rawnsley) Ellis of Halifax passed away on Monday August 21, 2017 at the age of 95.  She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence B. Ellis.  Loving mother of  the Rev. Wayne Ellis of PA and Wendy Hart of MI. Sister of the late Harold D. Rawnsley of Seattle, WA and the late George W. Rawnsley of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Betty lived in Halifax for 40 years coming from Maine, Rhode Island, Ct and Franklin, MA. She was a member of the Halifax Congregational Church and was  treasurer there for many years. She loved bowling  with her friends in the winter months, par 3 golfing,  line dancing, camping with the Masonic Camping Group, and Foxboro Camping Group.

Services will be held in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home  4 West Washington St. (Corner Rte. 58) Hanson on Saturday at 3:30 PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private at the  Mass National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
